The only sure thing

June 10.          Job 15-18

THE ONLY SURE THING.

“And the Lord answered, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.””

Exodus 33:14 BSB

GOOD DAY: After having many trials myself and listening to devoted Christians narrating their own challenges, I asked God for what the pleasures of walking with Christ are. I connect  this scenario; ““Look,” Peter replied, “we have left everything to follow You. What then will there be for us?”” Matthew 19:27 BSB. Jesus did reply Peter but today, the Holy Spirit gave me an answer that will give each person that understands it peace.

God promised Moses His very own presence with them in their journey through the wilderness. Moses identified the presence of God with them as what will distinguish them wherever they went and whatever they might meet with on the way. When you become a Christian and decide to die to yourself and follow Christ, it does not guarantee a trouble free life but it guarantees the presence of Jesus with you that will take you through without losing your faith. It is not the challenge that you have that matters, it is who is with you in the challenge that distinguishes you. Apostle Paul had a thorn in his flesh which God did not take out but instead gave him His grace to bear it and still function.

So deal with the myth that being a Christian means all troubles and trials will be off your life rather know that you have the privilege of the presence of God with you and the peace and joy He gives. He gives His grace which is sufficient for you. In your weakness, His strength is great. Having a life completely free of challenges is like saying you will have a life without rain and sunshine. God’s presence is the ultimate. It is more than gold or silver.

PRAY: Dear Lord, thank you for the privilege of Your presence with me always. Help me to downplay problems and magnify You at all times.
