THE REFUGEE CAMP

January 15.      Genesis ch 43-45

IN THE REFUGEE CAMP.

[1] God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], A very present and well-proved help in trouble.    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46:1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

GOOD DAY: There is so much talk about refugee camps in countries considered to be greener pastures by poor or warring countries. The refugees run there for protection and they are given all sorts of mean treatments. We have a spiritual refugee camp but it is unlike the natural one. God is that refuge for His people. When trouble comes, we run to Him for shelter. When you run to God for refuge, He does not throw you out or place guards on the border. He welcomes you and comforts you. God becomes your strength. He is your ever present help from trouble.

How do you run to the refugee camp of God? You turn from your perspective and change to His. For example, if someone offends you and your perspective is I must take revenge leading to unrest in your soul then you take refuge in God by forgiving the person and leaving vengeance to God because He says vengeance is His. He invites us to Himself in Matthew saying. ”“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.“. ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬. There is rest in His camp and it is never over populated.

PRAY: Dear Lord, thank You for being a refuge for the weak, troubled and weary. Teach me to take refuge in You.
