January 16. Genesis ch 46-48
THE VOICE OF THE EARTH
”Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah.“

GOOD DAY: At the refugee camp, the refugees still hear the voice of all the things that drive them to take risks and come to a land where they seek refuge. In their country of refuge, they have to behave according to the law and customs of the land. Likewise, in the refugee camp of God, righteousness and obedience to God is the Law and culture of the land. If a refugee fails to master these, he is exposed again to the roar of the earth.
What is the roar or voice of the earth? It is all the fearful events that are happening. When you listen to the news daily, you will hear the prince of the world flexing his muscles in the havoc he is wreaking all over the world through natural disasters and wickedness of men, through wars and betrayals, through diseases and mental frustrations. No category of people is exempted from his voice. Only those in the refugee camp of God who keep to the laws and culture of the land are protected. Come and stay in God’s refugee camp and the roar of the prince of the world will not move you.
PRAY: Dear Lord, thank You for keeping me in Your refugee camp where Psalm 91 is my insurance. Give me a deep understanding of life under the shadow of Your wings.
