THOUGHTS FOR A NATION AT 62

THOUGHTS FOR A NATION AT 62

“How wonderful it is, how pleasant, for God’s people to live together in harmony! It is like the precious anointing oil running down from Aaron’s head and beard, down to the collar of his robes. It is like the dew on Mount Hermon, falling on the hills of Zion. That is where the Lord has promised his blessing— life that never ends.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭133:1-3‬ ‭GNT‬‬

GOOD DAY. I was very young on the day of our independence and it was a joyous day when the nation celebrated and we had Jollof rice, tango drink and each child carried a small Nigerian flag to march  around. I remember that day like yesterday although it is over 60 years now.

Today, instead of recording growth, we have found ourselves backwards and there is no harmony. Let us spend today using the above Psalm to cast an imagination for our country. May the Lord give us the way of harmony in the midst of diversity in all the full sense of it.

Let us live as family and follow the family rule of love.

PRAY: Dear Lord, there is unity and peace in Your kingdom concerning each tribe and language in Nigeria. Please lead us to and in the way of peace.
