December 6. Colossians ch 1-3
WAITING FOR THE IMAGINATION
For You have tried us, O God; You have refined us as silver is refined. You brought us into the net; You laid an oppressive burden upon our loins. You made men ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water, Yet You brought us out into a place of abundance.
Psalms 66:10-12 NASB1995
GOOD DAY. I believe you have been practicing using your imagination since we have been discussing it. If you have tried it especially on issues that matter to you, you are likely to experience your trying by your same imagination. How does this happen? See the summary of the experience of Joseph.
“Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the Lord tested him.” Psalms 105:19 NASB1995.
Men and events will ride on your head, you are brought through fire and water as the Lord was trying how committed you are to your imagination. In this state, like Joseph, you should avoid working out the imagination forcefully. If you can wait and continue living true to the imagination and feeling it with thanksgiving, you will be brought to the place of fulfillment. It is tough but with God’s strength, it can be done. Hold your peace, be still walking in the way of your imagination and the same imagination will work itself out. It is so sweet when this happens. I have seen it happen in my life. Know that every obstacle on the way to your imagination is your highway to self fulfillment of that imagination. The obstacle has the energy in it to accomplish if you continue in your imagination with thanksgiving.
PRAY: Dear Lord, help me not to shift my focus from my imagination no matter the temptation along the way.
