WAY OF VICTORY

January 15.     Exodus ch 7-10

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.      Luke 9:23‭-‬24 KJVAE

HYMN: HE WHO WOULD VALIANT BE

1 He who would valiant be

‘gainst all disaster,

let him in constancy

follow the Master.

There’s no discouragement

shall make him once relent

his first avowed intent

to be a pilgrim.

2 Who so beset him round

with dismal stories

do but themselves confound

his strength the more is.

No foes shall stay his might;

though he with giants fight,

he will make good his right

to be a pilgrim.

3 Since, Lord, thou dost defend

us with thy Spirit,

We know we at the end,

shall life inherit.

Then fancies flee away!

I’ll fear not what men say,

I’ll labor night and day

to be a pilgrim.

GOOD DAY: Read the lyrics of this hymn and meditate on it. If you are going to be victorious, you must follow the Master as He leads you to the fulfillment of your desire and imagination. To follow Jesus to manifest your imagination, you must deny yourself, deny what your five senses impress on you and follow the way of Christ to the fulfillment of your imagination.

PRAY: Dear Lord, teach me to follow You without wavering.
