June 9. Psalms ch 82-84
WAY OUT OF EXILE
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.
Jeremiah 29:12-14 ESV
GOOD DAY: There is no one who loves to be in exile away from his comfort zone but there is God’s provision for life even in exile. If one will relax and embrace his exile situation, then God’s grace will make a way for peace and fruitfulness but there is a way of life that enhances God’s grace. In exile, you will call upon God, and come and pray to Him, and He will hear you.
You will seek God and find Him, when you seek Him with all your heart. So rather than complain, be sad or begin struggling to free yourself, spend your energy to seek God. Not just in prayer and fasting but in looking inwards to anywhere you have walked in disobedience, then repent and begin to think and act in a godly way. God says: “If people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV.
By this way, God will bring you out.of exile and restore your fortunes.
This does not just apply to a country or community but also to individuals in their exile. Enjoy the grace that the exile affords like we saw in the meditation two days ago and seek the face of God so you may have peace until release and restoration comes from God.
PRAY: Dear Lord, teach me how to effectively seek Your face no matter my situation.
