WHAT DO YOU SAY ABOUT…

June 1.               Psalms ch 58-60

WHAT DO YOU SAY TO YOURSELF ABOUT…

Yourself;

He said to Him, “O Lord, how shall I deliver Israel? Behold, my family is the least in Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father’s house.”

Judges 6:15 NASB1995

GOOD DAY: Happy new month of June. I pray that the Lord will visit you for good this month in Jesus name. What do you say to yourself about yourself? Gideon had talked to himself about the smallness of his family among the children of Israel and about his own smallness in the small family. He could only see his self-talk even when the angel of God visited him and told him about God’s presence with him on the assignment he was to carry out. He asked for proof that it was God talking to him. How do you talk to yourself about yourself? The way you talk to yourself and about yourself limits what you can achieve even if you desire big and in alignment with the will of God.

How do you talk to yourself about other people?

And Abimelech said to Abraham, “What have you encountered, that you have done this thing?” Abraham said, “Because I thought, surely there is no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.

Genesis 20:10‭-‬11 NASB1995

Abraham spoke to himself that the people of Gerah did not fear God and they could kill him and take his wife. He decided to lie to them that Sarah was his sister. Your self-talk about others determines how you react to them. People often act to you true to the type of self-talk that you have about them. It is only divine intervention that will make a person act differently to you from the inner talk that you have of them. Your inner talk attracts the people and circumstances that will fulfill them therefore be mindful of your inner talk. We all talk to ourselves inwardly. It is part of our creative abilities. Use it well.

PRAY: Father God, please help me to use my inner self-talk to make the world a better place in Jesus name.
