July 5.               Psalms ch 87-90

WHY WAIT?

“My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them And health to all their body.” Proverbs 4:20-22 NASB1995

GOOD DAY: We are in unprecedented times of multiple pandemic that man does not know how to resolve. We have moral pandemic, spiritual pandemic, financial pandemic, health pandemic, climate pandemic and everybody is confused. A look at any newspaper will see all these pandemics daily and it is all over the world. 

Much as God is being denied in the world, He is still the sovereign God who shows Himself as the creator in various ways. You don’t need to look far before you see His hands in nature. If the greater world would deny Him, do you have to wait until things get out of hands with you before you honor His word? He gave clear instructions about how we are to receive His word that we may live. 

First, you give attention to His word; next, incline your ear to His sayings; don’t let them depart from your sight and finally, keep them in the midst of your heart. The result is they will be life to you and health to your body. I have found from my experience that reading through the whole Bible yearly and reverting to marathon reading when I have any trouble has given me joy, peace and instructions on what to do. It has also been health to my whole body. Why wait as an individual for things to fall apart like it is doing for the world before you start looking for solutions? 

There is a healing energy that comes out to you as you sit to read the Bible. I cannot explain it but the energy transforms you to have the nature of God. 

Whether young or old, if you love your life and this world, return to the WORD through whom the world was made in the beginning. Don’t wait, do your bit and as each one of us returns to honor the WORD, it will have a multiplier effect. Return to God and live in health. Prevention is better than cure. 

PRAY: Dear Lord, quicken an interest for Your Word in me. Let there be a revival in the world.
