WRITE IT DOWN

September 28.   Habakkuk ch 2- Zephaniah ch 1.

WRITE DOWN THE IMAGINATION (Vision)

I will stand at my guard post and station myself on the lookout tower. I will watch to see what He will say to me and what I should reply about my complaint. The Lord answered me: Write down this vision; clearly inscribe it on tablets so one may easily read it. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it testifies about the end and will not lie. Though it delays, wait for it, since it will certainly come and not be late.”

‭‭Habakkuk‬ ‭2:1-3‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

GOOD DAY: Imagination is the faculty or action of forming new ideas, or images or concepts of external objects not present to the senses. This is from the English dictionary. Vision means the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom.

Habakkuk had lots of complaints about how bad things were in his time. People had forgotten about God and wickedness and oppression were the order of the day. He went to his watch tower to set the matter before God and the answer God gave him gave some insight into how we should pray and what we should do after we have prayed.

Desires, Visions and imaginations are given by God. God gives the vision of the end. When I have desires or complaints that I want resolved, I am to write down the end I desire out clearly. That clearly written out desire is the end. It is for its appointed time. It will happen and thus speak for itself.

While waiting for it to happen, read it as often as you can so that you can build your faith that it is done and live by this faith. If we don’t write it down, we will not be reading it and growing out faith that it is possible. It is as out faith grows that we can come to Habakkuk’s conclusion that

““Though the fig tree does not bud and there is no fruit on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will triumph in Yahweh; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation!”

‭‭Habakkuk‬ ‭3:17-18‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

While waiting for fulfillment, you can be sure of your triumph in the Lord and rejoice.

PRAY: Dear Lord, teach me to write down my desires clearly before you and read it so I can live by faith that it is done.
