November 6.        Luke ch 20-22

YOUR UNSEEN REALITY IS YOUR REALITY 

“So don’t allow your hearts to grow dull or lose your enthusiasm, but follow the example of those who fully received what God has promised because of their strong faith and patient endurance.” Hebrews 6:12 TPT

GOOD DAY: Today, we shall see those who through patient endurance brought their unseen reality for all to see and you can follow their examples:

1 Young man got admission into a full time course in a university in the UK and paid his fees, his dad had enough money in his account as his sponsor for three months then as condition for a visa. He was however denied a visa. In his heart, he was a student in his chosen university and he held on to “the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness of it. The world and those that dwell in it.” He was disappointed and felt sad but after some weeks, he started thanking God that at His appointed time, he will have his visas. He took up a job in computing in Lagos as he deferred his admission. He was denied for three years overcoming his disappointment with praise and thanksgiving to God and eventually, he succeeded at the fourth attempt. Today, he did not just study in England, he is flourishing there as a citizen. 

2 A lady determined not to engage in premarital sex standing on Hebrews 13:4. “Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.” She missed many men who dated her and was single till age thirty nine. She overcame the pain of each disappointment with praise and held on to the faithfulness of God giving her peace and joy while she was single. At thirty nine, a man five years younger than her came to ask for her hand in marriage and within six months, they were married and were blessed with two children within three years of their marriage.

These people fanned their faith with praise and thanksgiving to God while waiting. They rehearsed the goodness of God and kept their unseen realities alive until they became their seen realities. 

PRAY: Dear Lord, while waiting for Your promise, the mockery by people could be a challenge. At such times, Lord, help me to hold on to You and support me to stand for what I believe in Jesus name.
